General Booking Conditions



Please read these Booking Conditions carefully as they incorporate the basis upon which bookings are accepted by the Sealink Travel Group along with any and all of its associated business trading names. Throughout these terms and conditions any reference to Sealink Travel Group is deemed to include a reference to all of its associated registered trading names. Sealink Travel Group, acts as agent in promoting and selling travel and holiday packages but is not itself a transport, tour, event or accommodation provider. Sealink Travel Group acts only as an agent for those service providers. It is therefore important for you to obtain and read the service provider's terms and conditions applicable to the products in your package, and make sure you are aware of any exclusions or limitations of liability imposed by the service provider, some of which limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage. Sealink Travel Group has no connection or association with any state or federal government departments or entities, and as such does not represent it self as such.

Booking Conditions

These booking conditions cover the conducting and undertaking of all business operations of Sealink Travel Group including all business operations of registered business names connected or related to Sealink Travel Group. Examples of such registered business trading names are; Australian Tourism & Promotions, Northern Territory Tourism & Promotions, Tasmania Tourism & Promotions, Western Australia Tourism & Promotions, Queensland Tourism & Promotions, Australian Holiday Centre and City Centre Travel in addition to other names registered and used for conducting business operations.

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

All prices and charges are inclusive of Australian GST where applicable.

  

Payment

Payment terms are dependant on the product booked. Many suppliers require immediate payment upon confirmation of the travel arrangements. Some suppliers require a deposit at the time of confirmation and full payment within 60 days of departure. You will be notified at the time of your reservation what the payment terms are on the arrangements you are booking. If for any reason your payment is not received by us by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and to apply the appropriate cancellation charges. All payments by any party in respect of this booking represents acknowledgement and understanding of all booking terms and conditions and further agreement to indemnify Sealink Travel Group and its company officers from any future claim.

Late Booking Fee

Bookings made within 7 days of departure will only be accepted if full payment is received by at the time of reservation. For bookings made within 7 days of departure, a fee of $55 will apply. This fee is in addition to any late booking fees charged by the travel operator.

We accept payment by cash, cheque or credit card as well as by direct deposit to our bank account.

CHEQUE
Please note that payment by cheque is only accepted as ‘’paid’’ once the cheque amount is fully cleared and deposited into our bank account. Typically it may take up to 7 working days for cheque clearance to be completed. This time must be taken into account in regards to payment due dates.

CREDIT CARD
Credit card payments are accepted and the following additional fees will apply:
VISA 2%
MASTERCARD 2%
AMERICAN EXPRESS 3%

Cancellations

Our cancellation fees are as follows:
For bookings cancelled more than 60 days prior to departure - $200 per person
For bookings cancelled between 14 and 60 days prior to departure - 20% charge per person
For bookings cancelled within 13 days of departure - Fully non refundable
For bookings cancelled once travel has commenced - Fully non refundable

The above costs are in addition to any charges made by hotels, ground operators, airlines or cruise companies. Both fees are added together to determine the total cancellation charge.

  • Alterations: Alterations to your booking will incur a fee of $33 per booking.
  • Refunds: To the extent permitted by law, no refund is available for cancellations after your arrangements have commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised.

 Air Bookings

The costs of airfares are not guaranteed until full payment for the airfares are received. Once airfares have been paid for amendments to and cancellations of are subject to the amendment and cancellation policies of the specific airline. We reserve the right to levy a service fee for amendments or cancellations in addition to any fees levied by the airline.

A service fee of $15 per sector per person is payable for all flight bookings .

Due to the possibility of schedule changes you should confirm all airline seats 24 hours prior to departure. Air travel is subject to the conditions and limitations of liability set out in the carrier's conditions of carriage.

Travel Insurance


It is recommended that at the time of booking, you consider purchasing a travel insurance policy of your choice to cover loss, damage, illness, injury or other unexpected circumstances. We offer both cancellation insurance and travel insurance. For terms, conditions and premiums ask your travel consultant for a brochure.

Descriptions featured are based on current hotel guides and information provided by hotels and suppliers. Any facilities shown as included are subject to change at any time. The standard of accommodation and other services are based on various factors, which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class, however, we do not guarantee the standard, class, or fitness for purpose of that accommodation or service.

Limit of Liability


We always do our best to make sure your arrangements are satisfactory, however, most of the goods and services offered in the featured packages are supplied by third parties. We act only as an agent for those suppliers. To the extent permitted by law, Sealink Travel Group excludes all liability for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to physical and psychological injury, and loss or damage to property of whatever nature) that may arise in any way in connection with the offer of goods or services by Sealink Travel Group or any third parties, or in connection with the supply of such goods or services.

If the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) or any similar law implies a condition or warranty that cannot be excluded, the liability of Sealink Travel Group for a breach of the condition or warranty will be limited as determined by Sealink Travel Group in its absolute discretion to:

(a) In the case of goods any one or more of the following:
  • the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods; or
  • the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; and
(b) In the case of services:
  • the supplying of the services again; or
  • The payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.

Sealink Travel Group does not accept any liability of whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond its control including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.
